Dancing The Dream (1992)

Dancing the Dream is written and released by Michael Jackson. Its a book of poems and reflections written by Michael himself combined with many quality colour photos.
As it says on the inside cover “one man’s hauntingly beautiful, provocatively personal view of the world around us and the universe within each of us. Whether his prose or poetry are focusing on creativity, the children of the world, or the plight of the noble elephant, Michael’s observations and concerns make us see that trust and love and faith are the foundation stones for a life well lived.
Some people wonder how they can make the world a better place, while other people have dreams that are so powerful that they have a vision that can touch us all. Dancing The Dream was written by Michael Jackson, a man with a vision. Come experience the dream”.

Moonwalk (1988)

Moonwalk was the first book written by Michael Jackson. It’s his autobiography, which he was encoraged to write by book editor Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (wife of U.S president Joh F Kennedy). It’s Michael in his own words up until 1988, which was around the same time as the Bad album. Michael talks of his early days with his brothers in the Jackson 5 and the Jacksons. He also talks about his many famous friends at the time including Paul McCartney, Berry Gordy, Fred Astaire, Marlon Brando and Katherine Hepburn.
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis wrote the following forward to the book:
“What can one say about Michael Jackson? He is one of the world’s most acclaimed entertainers, an innovative and exciting songwriter whose dancing seems to defy gravity and has been heralded by teh likes of Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. His public is perhaps unaware of the extent of his dedication to his craft. Restless, seldom satisfied, he is a perfectionist who is constantly challenging himself. To many people Michael Jackson seems an elusive personality, but to those who work with him, he is not. This talented artist is a sensitive man, warm, funny, and full of insight. Michael’s book Moonwalk, provides a startling glimpse of the artist at work and the artist in reflection.”

Moonwalker – The Storybook (1988)

An illustrated story book that follows the same story of Michael’s movie Moonwalker. Its basically the movie Moonwalker in a storybook form with scenes from the screenplay illustrated by David Newman. The illustrations are actual screenshots from the movie.
The book is primarily aimed at Michael younger fans, although makes a great read for any fan of Michael and especially those that love the Bad era and the movie Moonwalker. The back of the book cover reads “A Storybook like No Other”.
“Michael, Katy, Sean and Zeke are four good friends enjoying a game of soccer when their lives are suddenly endangered by the diabolical Mr. Big, an evil mastermind who kidnaps Katy and is determined to destroy anything or anyone standing in the way of his evil dreams – even Michael. Speeding cars, hot dancing and amazing chases are all part of the fun and excitement of ‘Moonwalker’. A movie to remember and a story you’ll want to read again and again.”
